Reviews

...and soprano Janani Sridhar who floated effortlessly up to the impossibly high registers demanded by Beethoven, yet managed to exude that sense of joy which permeated the entire concert.

Janani Sridhar was the only Singaporean among them but her contribution was memorable visually as well as musically. As Mater Gloriosa, she was positioned high above the orchestra, alone in the organ loft, from where she beckoned Gretchen up to the spheres in the loveliest of voices.

...Janani Sridhar, a singer possessed with natural poise and disarming stage presence. Her sweet and expressive agile voice carried four arias from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Cosi fan Tutte with aplomb.

Her encore, the “Laughing Song” from Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, sparkled like champagne.
