Janani will be representing Charlottesville Opera at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello during the 62nd Annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, where she will be singing the American national anthem.

She is the first Singaporean to sing the "Star-Spangled Banner" at Monticello.
